On recommence l’année académique en vous présentant Uchuu !

Uchuu, signifiant « univers » en japonais, est à ce jour la simulation la plus complète de l’univers et est le fruit d’une collaboration internationale.Cet univers virtuel de plus de 9.6 milliards d’années lumières de côté, composé de 2100 milliards de particules a été simulé par le superordinateur ATERUI II pendant environ 1 an.Les simulations telles que Uchuu permettent aux astronomes de tester leurs théories et de comprendre comment les proportions de matière, matière noire et énergie noire affectent la structure de l’univers.Le mieux dans cette histoire ? La simulation est libre au téléchargement !
